Stephen Crane wrote the novel The Red Badge of Courage, without any battle experience. He sadly lost his battle to tuberculosis in a Black Forest sanatorium at the age of 28. A sanatorium in a hosptial for long term stay for patients with chronic illness.
what i notice most about his poem was his way with words. hes talking about something thats so far from kind but the tile is called war is kind. he has a very intresting sarcastic tone with his words that keeps the reader eager to read more.
