Cheerleading!

My best friend in the second grade, Chelsea Snyder, was a cheerleader. She always got to travel to cool places on weekends, have friends inside of school and outside of school and was able to tumble. Chelsea talked me into trying out for an all-star team and at first I didn't want to at all. but then it became my hobby until I was 18 years old. This hobby taught me how to work hard with others and when we would compete at competitions and win, it was the best feeling in the world because we had worked so hard together and my teammates were more like family. I enjoyed practice, but comptitions were my favorite. When you walk into a comp you see see all kinds of different teams wearing fierce uniforms and cool makeup. I usually dont get nervous until it's our turn for warm-ups because the teams you are competing against are warming up too, and its hard to focus on your team when you want to watch everyone else. It's very intimidating, but i love it. It's always really loud with all the parents and fans watching, some girls crying because they fell or didn't hit their tumbling. I made a lot of best friends that I am still friends with today. I learned a lot about myself and grew to be very confident about myself. Cheering my whole life meant the world to me because I felt like I had a second family and we worked really hard together and accomplished so much as a whole.
